The museum is called MuSaMa… it is a contraction of Marseille Soap Museum.

The visit takes the form of an immersive journey that allows you to discover the secrets of soap making.

Educational and fun , it is aimed at tourists, schoolchildren but also cruise passengers stopping over in Marseille.

It takes about twenty minutes, after which you can leave with your Marseille soap made in real time.

A real luxury when you know that the majority of soaps bearing the label " Marseille soap " are actually made abroad….

The project was designed by the architectural firm Richard and Anne-Claude Carta. Richard Carta was ideally suited to carry out this project… He wrote a novel which tells the story of a master soap maker.

The museum is a private establishment which was financed by fundraising and calls for donations.
It echoes the desire of the Conservatoire National du Savon de Marseille to protect the appellation.
