Your window on the city My first hotel stay in France. I read about this hotel in old books, and despite the comments about stairs, air conditioning and hot water, I had to try it. The young people at the front desk were helpful and eager to please. The temperature was always fine (I traveled with a fan), there was ample hot water, and the view was unbelievable. Watching all the people go by at all hours, zipping by on scooters, on top of buses, was a delight. I wish I could have stayed longer! The Radisson, by contrast, was a dungeon. Great little hotel in the perfect location in Marseille Great little hotel in the perfect location in Marseille. Don't be put off by the steps up to the hotel, and the rather basic reception -- the rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff are pleasant and helpful, and the views from the rooms are excellent! Breakfast in the bar area was decent, with a nice basket of bread and pastries. Parking is possible in the nearby multi-storey Q-Park Vieux Port / Hôtel de Ville for 15 euro for 24 hours. Get your ticket from reception in advance, or buzz the parking attendant and tell them you're a guest of the hotel. Would definitely stay here again if in Marseille.

Getaway to Marseille A charming hotel that lives up to its name. The + the view of the port and Notre Dame de la Garde from a comfortable room, access to all walking tours, Mucem, Calanques cruise, bus and metro. The- plastic cups, glass would be more hygienic, the lack of wardrobe and the dilapidation of the carpet on the stairs. The bar can be nice if you like very loud music!

Best view and food in the center of Marseille The hotel location is very convenient, the view is unforgettable. People working in the hotel are very kind and nice, they are smile all the day. Fabulous views and location The hotel is in a fabulous location with views of the Basilica over the Vieux port. It is surrounded by bars and restaurants. It is easy to walk to Mucem or public transport or Le Panier. The room was small but very comfortable. Breakfast was good with great coffee and served with a view. The hotel is being renovated so is confusing on first arrival. Reception is up a floor with no lift. The drains smell in the bathroom though this is a problem throughout the area.

Stay in the old port Magnificent view of the old port (the hotel lives up to its name), great renovated room, top breakfast on the restaurant terrace. Welcoming staff. A little noise in the evening but normal, it goes with the view of the old port! Our stay was really very nice.

Great, great value Absolutely fantastic. Brilliant location overlooking the port. Staff were excellent and the food first class. Would not hesitate to stay here again on our next visit to Marseille. Recommended to us and we would do the same.
