It's impossible to forget her red hair, her cat-like eyes, and her impeccable sense of style. Black, knitwear, velvet, stripes, the reverse side, and exposed seams… Sonia Rykiel's elegance is international. She's illuminating the Château Borély in Marseille with an unmissable exhibition .
Femininity in movement, title of the Rykiel exhibition
During your stay at the Hotel Belle Vue , head towards Borély Park. Bus 83 will take you there directly from the Old Port.
The castle in this vast green space, a kingdom for families and sports enthusiasts, has been hosting an exhibition dedicated to Sonia Rykiel since February 14th.
In total, around twenty silhouettes , emblematic of the designer's chic yet relaxed style, were selected.
Clean lines, belted jackets, and evening dresses adorned with lace come together to symbolize the quintessence of a lazily sophisticated look.

An extraordinary woman
Sonia Rykiel, who died on August 25, 2016 as a result of Parkinson's disease, remains present in everyone's memory thanks to the timelessness of her creations.
Hailed as the " Queen of Knitting ", the fashion designer left her mark on the second half of the 20th century and the beginning of the new millennium.
Like Gabrielle Chanel in her time, Sonia Rykiel offered a new interpretation of the women's wardrobe and imposed what has been called " a new classicism ".
She designed shimmering garments, did away with hems, celebrated knitwear, and invited flowing hair to roam free. Among the devotees of her creations were Catherine Deneuve, Lauren Bacall, and Jackie O.
“Elegance is not a question of luxury, wealth but of attitude”
