The MUCEM, 500 meters walk from your hotel
A brand new space awaits you at Fort Saint-Jean.
It opened its doors this summer. This is the Officers' Gallery , which invites you on a visual journey through the history of the Marseille fortress.
From the founding of Massalia to the opening of the MUCEM, this journey helps you better understand the metamorphoses of the site of Fort Saint-Jean.
Its history is closely linked to that of Marseille and the Mediterranean basin.

A corridor of time to discover the bowels of the fort
An ancient site chosen by Phocaean navigators, it has become over the centuries a kind of architectural mille-feuille.
Films, models and interactive devices take you back in time and allow you to discover the remains of a church, the ascent for the cannons, the vaulted passages, and the barracks buildings of the Foreign Legion that Fort Saint-Jean housed.
The route is chronological.
It consists of 5 stages at the end of which you will perceive the historical importance that this listed monument has always had in Marseille.
