Open-air cinema… and starry skies guaranteed!

The magic of open-air cinema has been practiced in Marseille for decades. It is no coincidence that the homeland of Pagnol or Raimu is the Phoenician city!

This year 2020, from July 15 to September 19, several sessions are offered in different locations, and of course entry is free!

Which cinema?

With " Life of Pi » young spectators are not forgotten and their parents can also share the strong emotions of this maritime adventure. In another register, “The Rider”, an American film awarded at Deauville in 2017, brings together adults and adolescents.

As for the famous “Les Demoiselles de Rochefort”, we can say that it brings together four generations! In short, a program that allows you to go with friends or family.

In what places?

Some screenings are offered at the Calanques National Park on the islands of Friuli where you go by boat which is already an adventure in itself! Others on the Mucem site, which in addition to the starry sky, offers an opening onto the open sea… Château Borély, in an immense park, offers a different charm

All these places are accessible on foot or by ferry, for those staying near the Old Port, or by bus or bike.

The ideal place to stay near the screening locations is the charming BelleVue hotel on the Old Port of Marseille: https://hotelbellevuemarseille.com/
