This call for projects is part of the programming of artistic interventions for the year 2018 at the Hotel Belle-Vue. An artist will be selected to paint a mural which will remain on the lobby wall for a minimum period of 3 months.
For this call for projects, L’Hôtel Belle-Vue partnered with the Sun of Shade company.
**THE PLACE
The hotel Belle-Vue is like Marseille: it has character! Located on the pedestrian Old Port since 2013, the entrances to the Hotel Belle-Vue and the restaurant-bar La Caravelle merge. The first floor houses La Caravelle and the warm reception of the Ecological Hotel Belle-Vue.
If you progress towards the upper floors, you will discover the hotel, a very famous establishment since the 1950s. Its wrought iron staircase is one of the rare heroic witnesses of the bombings of the Second World War.
As such, it is part of the Heritage of Marseille.
Along the floors, there are pretty rooms with nice height under ceiling. The decoration of the Hotel Belle-Vue pays homage to the architect Le Corbusier. Red and blue soften when touched with pastel touches.
Its rooms, bathed in eternal Mediterranean light, offer a unique view of Notre Dame de la Garde and the Old Port.
